The »tree vase« is an installation on a tree that covers its trunk with a construction out of bamboo and straw rope. The construction has the shape of a traditional Chinese vase and the tree seems to come out of the oversized vase. It is a woven construction. The natural materials and the size of the work creates an extra irritation. It is the transformation of the traditional aesthetic and poesy of Chinese pottery into the size and surrounding of the forest.
